'We're ready to crack on!' - ITV confirm Love Island launch date!
Love Island returns Monday 16 January on ITV2 and ITVX!
The dating show will be back on television screens for its first winter series, set in South Africa, since before the coronavirus pandemic.
TV and radio presenter Maya Jama, 28, is taking over as host from Laura Whitmore, 37, who announced she was stepping down in August. She joins us on the This Morning sofa to tell us why this job is her type on paper, what we can expect from the new winter series and her advice for the Islanders.
The trailer features brand new host Maya Jama on a velvet bejewelled bucking bronco as she tells viewers “it’s time to grab love by the horns, I am ready, are you?”
As our official love motivator, Maya will be encouraging both this year's Islanders as well as the fans at home to go and grab love by the horns!
For the first time, contestants will this series have to disable their social media accounts during their time on the show in a bid to protect both them and their families from online abuse.
Contestants will also receive "guidance and training" around "mutually respectful behaviour in relationships", which are both in addition to other duty of care measures introduced for previous series.
