What do the new Covid-19 Tier restrictions mean for you?

Yesterday Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced that people living in London, Essex, York and other areas are to live under tougher Tier 2 Covid measures from Saturday. This means that more than half of England’s population are now living under high or very-high alert restrictions.

But how does all of this affect you? Can you go to the pub with friends? Can you still get help with childcare? And are you banned from going into Wales?
