Following the tragic events that unfolded last week in Paris, questions have been raised about how safe the British streets really are. Four days after at least 129 people lost their lives in the shocking terrorist attacks, security was beefed up for the England vs France game at Wembley and the new hi-tech anti-terror police were unveiled.
Today we are joined by former head of royal protection and chief superintendent of the Met Police Dai Davies who argues that it would be a disproportionate response to arm all officers, while journalist Shona Sibary insists that it would be a safer world for all if cops were equipped with weapons.
