The Queen Alexandra hospital cares for some of the most poorly children in the South-East. While the doctors and nurses work tirelessly to look after their physical health, there is a team dedicated to making sure the children remain as happy, calm and occupied as possible during their hospital stay.
Two members of this team, play specialist Ann Ricketts and hospital school teacher Emma Scarrott join Peter Andre in the children's ward schoolroom to tell us more about their roles, and Dr Chris and Peter meet Chevonne and George, whose little boy Mikey (who's only a year old) has spent most of his life in the hospital.
Thankfully, Mikey's life is brightened every day by a cast of colourful characters who look after his daily needs. From the nurses to the doctors, the physio to the play-therapists, Mikey is a firm favourite at the hospital and his parents cannot praise the work of the dedicated staff highly enough.
