Don't applaud me, applaud the 104 who didn't come back
– Noreen Riols
In 1943 when Noreen Riols was 18 she signed up to SOE, known as Churchill's secret army, and was thrust into the world of espionage.
She spent her days organising parachute drops into occupied France, and trained potential agents to deliver secret messages. But after playing such an integral role in the conflict, SOE and all their staff were dismissed by the official agencies after the war.
It was only in 2000, when the files were opened, that the world learnt of the heroes who gave up their lives for our freedom. Noreen, now 87, joins us to talk about her amazing time as one of Churchill's Secret Army.
