Thanking our war heroes ahead of Remembrance Sunday
"When you think of the men who died to protect democracy, they would be horrified if they thought their sacrifice was in vain"
As we prepare to commemorate Remembrance Sunday, today we’re meeting two amazing war heroes. Jeffrey Haward, who served as one of the 558,000 Allied soldiers evacuated from Dunkirk during the Second World War, will be sharing his story alongside former radio operator Marie Scott, who was just 17 on D-Day and had the job of passing on coded messages to troops landing on the beaches.
As well as sharing their incredible stories, they’ll be explaining why it’s so important to remember and continue to raise money for fallen comrades and those who have served our country.
