As we prepare to say goodbye to Poldark with the culmination of the fifth and final series, two of the show's stars Sofia Oxenham (troublemaker Tess Tregidden) and Tom York (pious methodist Sam Carne) join us on the sofa to tell us all about saying goodbye to the Cornish drama, and to reveal what we can expect from the finale.
So what's next for Sofia and Tom?
Sofia is appearing in an episode of Doc Martin, "It was the same thing as Poldark, I auditioned for another part and got offered this one, but I'm so excited as Port Isaac is close to where I'm from. I'm really flying the Cornish flag.", before tackling vampires and Vikings later this year, "I’m also doing Dracula, and now I'm playing a Viking Princess in a new series called Cursed on Netflix."
Tom is currently filming on the remake of Van Der Valk, which will bring back one of television’s most iconic detectives, “I just got back from filming in Amsterdam on Saturday, it’s such an amazing city, I love it. Van Der Balk is based on some novels and was a popular TV series. It was very popular back in the day and had a bit of a cult following. It was nice to play in the modern age after so many years playing someone in the 18th century!”
