1. If I Were a Carpenter

Classic series about a group of British builders who head to Germany in search of employment. The lads arrive with hopes of high wages and plenty of frauleins.

2. Who Won the War Anyway?

Neville becomes a hero despite himself and manages to keep his job in the process. On the other hand, Oz is about to be sacked because of his bad attitude.

3. The Girls They Left Behind

Oz's wife Marjorie hasn't heard from him for quite a while and she's getting desperate for money. She sends Oz a letter, but he marks it 'not known at this address' and sends it back.

4. Suspicion

When things start to go missing from the hut, everyone is a suspect. In a bid to catch out the culprit various plans are hatched but all of them end in failure. The question remains, who is the thief?

5. Home Thoughts From Abroad

There's bad news from home for Bomber when his daughter runs away. Can the gang possibly be of any help?

6. The Accused

Neville is under suspicion from all quarters - his wife believes that he is living it up in Germany, and a German girl accuses him of assaulting her. Meanwhile, Dennis has to face up to his impending divorce.

There's trouble for the lads in the form of the hard-drinking Magowan, another Brit working on the site. He's an unwelcome guest in their hut so they figure out an ingenious way to get rid of him.

Comedy drama series about Geordie brickies forced to take work in Germany. Oz is involved in some shady dealing - but what is the connection between a dead body and an illegal business transaction?

11. The Lovers

Comedy drama series about Geordie brickies working in Germany. Oz falls in love with a German girl, but their romance is fraught with danger.

12. Love and Other Four Letter Words

Dennis' wife Vera visits him in Dusseldorf and tells him that she wants to try and rescue their marriage. Will he stay in Germany or return to England? Meanwhile, Wayne has fallen in love with a secretary in the site office Christa.

13. When the Boat Goes Out

It's time to pack up and go home. Dennis wants one last night alone with Dagmar, but a fire at the hut forces the lads to join him at Dagmar's house. Next day, the lads go their separate ways and Dennis, Neville and Oz return to England.
