Series 3

1. Goodbye Mr Henstridge

When Mr. Henstridge, Alison’s elderly admirer dies, she is astonished to discover that his past was not as blameless as she had imagined; she and Tom find themselves involved in suppression of some compromising material.

2. Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner

Tom’s distant relatives, knowing his history, take all precautions possible to avoid any accidents when he takes Alison for a weekend visit. Unfortunately, all the precautions taken turn out to be inadequate.

3. The Blessing

While Tom is supposed to be on a cricketing tour of Norway, The Little’s try to influence Alison to break off their engagement, but the arrival of Mr. Mungo and the fact that something seems to be eating things in the house, frustrates their plans.

4. The Once and Future Chance

When Tom and Alison accidentally acquire six children and two dogs, they, as well as Reverend Dodge, the Wingent’s, and Lady Stockbridge, becomes involved in the inevitable police investigation.

5. Pre-Matrimonial Tension

It is the day before Tom and Alison’s wedding, but things aren’t going smoothly. They lose the best man, the bridesmaid, the wedding guests and the honeymoon – and it’s not even lunchtime.

6. The Wedding

Brightly dawns Tom and Alison’s wedding day - at the heart as brightly as possible without a best man, a bridesmaid, all the guests, and a honeymoon. It really looks like there will be no wedding at all.
