Jim Nelson, the embattled teacher, falls further into wardrobes and despair. Meanwhile, Michael Murray falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful but mysterious Barbara Douglas...

Episode 3

Jim Nelson is still surviving the pickets, but looking forward to his summer holiday. Meanwhile, Barbara Douglas seems more interested in Michael's past than his persistant attempts at courtship...

Episode 4

The only ray of hope for Michael Murray seems to be that the mysterious Barbara Douglas, having blown cold and cold for some time, has signalled a change in the weather.

Episode 5

Michael Murray, fighting fit after a night with Barbara Douglas, attempts to wrestle back control of his life and his city. Meanwhile, Frankie Murray is in Fleetwood searching for a new life.
