A visiting conman crashes his car, prompting him to confess to a life of crime. Carol Cassidy visits a terminally ill woman at home - but meets violent resistance.

The return of a convicted rapist to Aidensfield sparks local anger. Rob is surprised when an old flame arrives from CID. Peggy helps an old redcoat pal back on his feet.

3. Intelligence Matters

Ashfordly Police joins CID and British Intelligence in the hunt for a suspected Russian spy. Peggy thinks she has found evidence of a murder and asks David to help her investigate.

4. Please Please Me

Peggy's car is stolen - with Deefer in the boot! Rosie has an unwelcome admirer who won't take no for an answer. Gina persuades Phil to share his feelings.

A decorated war hero shoots an intruder. Rosie worries that Bernie is concealing financial troubles at the garage. Carol deals with a teenage pregnancy.

A protest at a local airfield turns nasty and Rob is accused of police brutality, whilst a surprised Sergeant Miller spots a familiar face among the protestors.

Carol leaves a medical bag in her unlocked car. Local boys steal the bag, the hunt is on for dangerous drugs and Carol is left fighting for her career.

Blaketon attempts to trace a missing person and falls victim to a series of attacks. Peggy finds romance with an old flame. Younger strives for policing perfection.

Bernie stands to inherit a fortune - but an old face returns from the dead to stake a claim. A young girl gives birth unexpectedly, bringing shame on her father. Aidensfield waits for news of Bellamy.

14. Another Little Piece of My Heart

Walker and Carol suspect a landowner's wife may be the victim of domestic abuse, but intervention proves difficult. Younger uses his ingenuity to outwit some troublesome children, and Phil and Gina finally share some good news with the village.

15. Seeds of Destruction

Younger discovers his career is on the line after a prisoner dies in police custody. Carol finds herself in conflict with a young herbalist, and a visiting radio researcher is treated to Aidensfield hospitality.

A valuable pendant is stolen from a guest at the Aidensfield Arms - and suspicion falls on Gina's new cellar man. Geoff's need for speed gets the better of him, so Peggy finds a deal on a new ride.

Lord Ashfordly's new estate manager raises hackles with his rent hikes and other hardline methods he learned in South Africa. David starts collecting Green Shield stamps and soon has more than he can lick - the glue seems to be going to his head.

18. The Dreams That You Dream

The big day finally arrives and Aidensfield holds its breath as Gina and Bellamy are set to marry - but will the day pass without a hitch? Snow falls on Aidensfield, but the local council gritter has gone missing, raising concerns for his welfare.

When Rosie finds a dead body and is attacked, Walker and Rachel's investigation leads them to a sinister local cult. Peggy does her best to sell a batch of turkeys - but it's not Christmas!

20. The Medium Is the Message

A vicar's wife is murdered and a psychic offers to assist the police. Younger comes to terms with his father's illness - and Peggy loses some dynamite!

The policemen's lives are in danger when the station comes under siege. In Aidensfield, the locals gather at the pub to watch the moon landing, and Peggy tries to prove that it's all a scam.

22. Troubled Waters

Walker and Carol disagree on how to handle a domestic situation. Bernie catches the eye of an attractive widow - but is she only interested in his money?

23. Where There's Smoke

Miller comes under suspicion during an investigation, and Walker gets the results of his sergeant's exams. David decides that he wants to set up his own playboy mansion.

Walker announces his plans to leave the village - but will he really be able to say goodbye to Aidensfield for good?
