Series 8

Episode 1

Gordon Ramsay's US cookery competition returns for another series. 16 chefs battle it out against each other for the position of head chef at a top Los Angeles restaurant.

Episode 2

The teams are challenged to make sushi, which proves to be too much for some of the contestants. The winning side gets to enjoy a wine tasting session, while the losers are stuck with dinner preparation.

Episode 3

The teams are challenged to prepare breakfast for 50 paramedics, with the first group to complete service winning. Unfortunately, teamwork is lacking on one side, which creates a tense atmosphere.

Episode 4

The teams are challenged to create a perfect ravioli dish, with the successful side winning a helicopter tour of the Pacific coast followed by a day of golfing. The losers are left with preparation work - including milking cows!

Episode 5

The teams are challenged to create a tasting menu for a Hell's Kitchen prom at Beverly Hills High School. The team who most impress the judges win a day spent at Knott's Berry Farm, while the losers must transform the kitchen into a prom setting.

Episode 6

Chef Ramsay moves some of the team members around before the new groups are challenged to come up with a special salad dish, with the best meal being featured in a magazine.

Episode 7

The teams are asked to create a dish made from ingredients chosen by the spin of a roulette wheel. The team who make the best meal are sent on a luxury trip to Las Vegas.

Episode 8

The contestants are given limited time and money at the local supermarket to buy the ingredients for four different meat dishes, which they must then prepare in only 45 minutes. The team which win the challenge get to enjoy a day of boating.

Episode 9

The teams take part in a blind taste test, but will they manage to successfully identify the ingredients they are given? The winners of the challenge get to go on a shopping spree followed by a slap-up dinner.

Episode 10

The remaining contestants are challenged to prepare three dishes, but each team member only has five minutes, alone in the kitchen, to work on the food.

Episode 11

The contestants are challenged to make five portions of an amuse-bouche. Those whose creations are deemed the best win a lunch at the restaurant where the series victor will work.

Episode 12

The remaining contestants must produce 80 portions of a lunch dish to serve from their own food truck. The person whose meal is the most well-received will be given a makeover while the others are left on cleaning duty.

Episode 13

The remaining contestants taste a dish that Chef Ramsay has made and must then recreate it, without being given an ingredient list. The prize for the person who makes the most successful dish is a set of cookware and a trip to a spa.

Episode 14

The contestants are challenged to create a fusion dish using ingredients from France, China, Thailand, Spain, Mexico, Greece, India or Italy. The person who makes the tastiest meal wins lunch at top restaurant Spago.

Episode 15

The finalists are taken to LA Market, where the winner will work, and told to cook five dishes for a taste test. At evening service, eight of their fellow contestants return to help them - but the groups must work without sous chefs Scott and Andi.
