Henry Cole takes five teams of metal detectorists to Layer Marney in Essex, where they find medieval coins, modern-day jewellery and a Roman brooch.

Episode 3

Henry Cole takes five teams of intrepid metal detectorists to Somerleyton in Suffolk, where they unearth rare artefacts and ancient coins.

The grand finale of the Great British Treasure Hunt is at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire. After four close encounters, the five teams are going all out to be champions.
