Episode 1

After Joseph and Mary's betrothal, Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel, who tells her she will bear the Son of God. Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem to take part in Herod's census, where Jesus is born.

Episode 2

Jesus is baptised by John the Baptist and begins his ministry. Jesus' followers grow in number, but not all are comfortable with his claims to be the Son of God.

Episode 3

Jesus meets Mary Magdalene and John the Baptist and continues to perform miracles among his people.

Episode 4

Not everyone welcomes Jesus enthusiastically into Jerusalem. After celebrating the Last Supper, Judas betrays Jesus, who is taken for trial to Pontius Pilate and subsequently condemned to death.
