Roommates Dermot and Gary have women problems: Gary wants to leave Dorothy - until she decides to leave him, and Dermot has fallen in love with their new neighbour.

The difference between winning or losing at chess could spell the difference between an evening of pleasure and a night of disaster for Dermot or Gary.

3. Alarms and Setbacks
