Mr Pringle has organised a Mystery Tour for the children around Greendale. Pat provides transport for them in the post bus with surprises at every stop including an old lady at the spinning wheel.

Garner Hall is being opened to the public and Major Forbes has asked Miss Hubbard to show people around and tell them the history of the Hall.
Pat puts his glasses down on the Post Office counter just as Ted Glen brings in a huge parcel and puts it down on the counter-right on top of Pat's glasses.
Many villagers are painting or making things to enter into the Art Show. Pat decides to enter a sculpture of Jess and has quite a difficult time trying to get the clay to work. Eventually he manages and the statue is ready for the Show.
On his rounds Pat comes across a trail of orange string which he follows past a scarecrow, through a gorse bush, around Granny Dryden's washing line, through a field of sheep and up into a tall tree.
The village is decked with lots of colourful flowers for the Best Village Competition. Ted Glen is painting the outside of the Post Office so that it looks nice and clean.
Granny Dryden is decorating but cannot manage to paint her ceiling. Pat manages to get paint all over his trousers and then offers to help paint it for her.
Mail order comes to Greendale and Pat is having trouble coping with the volume of parcels. Ted Glen invents a parcel scooter but it is too noisy and dangerous for Greendale.
Pat injures his back doing a spot of gardening. His wife Sara takes over Pat's round for the day but everyone she meets is acting very strangely.
Pat is feeling very tired but Dr Gilbertson cannot find anything wrong with him. He must be a bit run down and over worked but the Post Office are unable to supply extra help.
Mr Pringle and Major Forbes are planning a film show about flying with a 'surprise arrival'. When Pat calls round to Miss Hubbard to collect the leaflets advertising the show he finds the photocopier has broken down.
One morning when Pat was on his rounds he returned to his van to find that someone or something had eaten his sandwiches!
