Series 8

1. Heat

Comedy featuring Scotland's angry middle-aged man. Emerging from prison after doing time for arson, Rab is fixed up with a job as a dish washer by his prison social worker.

2. Commons

When an arrogant MP is challenged to live on state benefits, he exchanges lifestyles with Rab.

3. Night

Rab's bad back robs him of sleep, while a wronged husband prowls the street with a shotgun looking for Jamesie.

4. Fruit

As Rab queues for his vasectomy, son Gash's live-in girlfriend Bridie is about to give birth to the first Nesbitt grandchild. As the women grow broody and their menfolk fearful, Rab appraises his new status.

5. Bug

Rab's insomnia forces him to visit the doctor, who happens to be suffering from the same affliction. When his friend Andra has a heart attack, Rab decides the problem is spiritual.

6. Trips

When the wolf howls, all Govan must do its bidding. It is time to throw away those slippers and be hell-raisers again, especially since it is Barney Feeney's birthday bash.
