Episode 1

Denmark, 2017. The Krogh family have been priests for over 250 years. When we Johannes, the head of the family, he is headed for the top as the bishop of Copenhagen.

Episode 2

Johannes realises that his effort in his job as priest doesn’t really fit into the bishop’s plans, which doesn’t please him. It also creates friction in another relationship.

Episode 3

A completely changed August returns home to Copenhagen – to the great bewilderment of his closest family, who don’t understand what’s going on.

Episode 4

A dazed and bruised Christian wakes up in a monastery in Nepal. Everything he owns has been stolen, leaving only himself and an overwhelming sense of guilt.

Episode 5

Christian returns home from Nepal with a completely changed outlook on life. He writes this down, whilst staying in the family’s summer cottage where he has moved temporarily.

Episode 6

Christian visits Amira in an attempt at atonement, only to discover that she has left Mark. They bond over Christian's book that he is writing, based on his experiences in Nepal.

Episode 7

The disastrous Easter lunch results in considerable changes in the inner circle surrounding Johannes. August’s attempts to help someone backfire and result in a severe warning.

Episode 8

August starts working as a street pastor where he ends up drawn into a case of two brothers staying illegally in Denmark – both of them are rejected asylum seekers.

Episode 9

With Amira’s help, Christian buys an apartment. The great love of his youth, Nanna, shows up and tells a story. It worsens the poor relationship between Johannes and Christian.

Episode 10

The Pentecost service at Johannes’ church is attended by a VIP guest and a range of priests that Johannes heads up. Johannes has normalised his relationship with the bishop.
