Series 1

Episode 1

A disgraced British spy, Fielding Scott, is given the chance to redeem himself in Berlin by organising the defection of an East German scientist but everything goes disastrously wrong.

Episode 2

Suspicions start to multiply as the fatal fiasco of the "Beethoven" defection has consequences, as Fielding is tasked with finding and eliminating the traitor.

Episode 3

Fielding's life in Berlin is unraveling and he decides to "go rogue" and provoke the Russians into retaliating.

Episode 4

Fielding's clever plan seems to be working and the Russians are agitated. The Beirut connection appears more significant and a date is mentioned for the first time: Sunday, August 13.
