1. Killers

Detective Inspector Maggie Forbes and her husband, PC Ray Forbes, reach a crossroads in their lives. But before the day is out, their problems are cruelly resolved and Maggie is confronted with unimaginable difficulties.

2. Recoil

Maggie Forbes is at home, bored and frustrated that she is unable to assist in the capture of her husband's killer. Meanwhile the police are getting ever closer to uncovering the perpetrator.

3. Help

D.I. Maggie Forbes discovers that her teenage son has been out drinking in a pub. Meanwhile at work, she is sent to a sauna to investigate the death of a middle-aged man. It appears he died suddenly from the exertion of sex brought on a heart attack.

4. Shock

The body of a middle-aged woman is found on the bed of a mews flat in London. She has apparently died of shock after touching a frayed electric wire coiled around the brass bedstead. Her death could have been murder, suicide or an accident.

5. Blade

Detective Inspector Maggie Forbes' efforts to solve a murder are not made any easier by conflict with one of her colleagues.

6. Rogue

Maggie Forbes has a new man in her life and becomes torn between personal happiness and her position as a Detective Inspector.

7. Melody

Maggie and her team investigate the mysterious murder of a glamorous call girl called Melody. Maggie's feminine intuition brings about the arrest of the suspect - but is her judgement clouded?
