Rubee's favourite colour is purple so Aunty Bee offers to dye something purple for her. But when Rubee goes out, leaving a scarf for Aunty Bee to collect, Aunty Bee takes a basket of washing instead.

Mamma Bee is planning a surprise anniversary party for Grandpa and Grandma Bee. Buzzbee does such a good job of keeping the party secret that Mamma Bee ends up without the things they need. Luckily Grandpa, Grandma and Jump are on hand to help.

Grandpa Bee finds his old whistle from his days as Bee Scout leader and Buzzbee suggests that they form a new troop for him to teach. But Grandpa Bee gets a bit carried away and only learns his lesson when he needs to be rescued.

The boys are practising their roars for the Beauty and the Beestly Bee pantomime auditions, but Barnabee is worried that his aren't 'beastly' enough.
