Sally and Anna deal with a single father who is struggling to cope with his son's cystic fibrosis, and Alan enters the local men in a talent contest.

Sally is appalled by Nathan's taste when he falls for the rich woman, and Beth and Anna nurse a patient who is convinced that his late wife still talks to him.
