Finalist Louisa Johnson: “This has always been my dream”
Louisa Johnson might not be nervous ahead of tonight’s grand Final, but the 17-year old has revealed it would be a dream come true if she was announced as this year’s winner.
Speaking at rehearsals ahead of her battle with Reggie ’N’ Bollie, the 17-year old stated: “Tonight, is just going to be me having fun and just doing everything I possibly can to win, but most of all, just enjoy it because if I’m enjoying it, I will get that message across to people.
“I haven’t been nervous the whole time I’ve been here. When I’m about to go on, I get a little bit nervous but when I’m actually singing, I don’t feel any nerves at all. I’m so excited for tonight.”
Tonight, Louisa will be performing her version of the Winner’s Song, with the Essex girl claiming that it “feels weird” to be on the brink of releasing her debut single, explaining: “I’m so young and this has always been my dream. It’s going to be really exciting but it’s quite scary because I’ve never done it before so, I don’t know what to expect.”
And, when it comes to her mentor Rita Ora and THAT duet, Louisa had nothing but good things to say: “I think we’ll definitely stay in touch she’s an absolutely amazing person.
“I just feel like she’s helped me a lot and we’ve been through a lot together and last night was like a big celebration of everything, every bit of emotion that we felt. I would love to work with her, we said that the other day, we would love to work with each other.”
As well as Rita, Louisa added that she’s been overwhelmed by the support she’s received, concluding: “I just want to thank everyone for keeping me here. I’ve never been in the bottom two, like every decision I make, I couldn’t ask for better people to support me.”
