Lauren Murray talks chart success, teases this week's song choice & more
Lauren Murray has revealed it’s “a dream come true” to score a Top 10 track on iTunes, teasing that her performance this weekend is set to be her most challenging.
Speaking of the success her version of Ariana Grande’s One Last Time has achieved, the former dental receptionist told us that she had no idea the track would be a chart hit, especially as she had to swap her song at the last minute.
Lauren explained: “It paid off because my song went Top 10 in the charts this week, yay! I was absolutely over the moon! It literally was a dream come true not in a cheesy way. It was just amazing.”
With Murray already bagging herself a place on The X Factor Live Tour 2016, the 25-year old went on to add that it feels “crazy” now there’s only seven acts left on the show, stating: “The competition is definitely on now.
“I never expected to get this far and now that I'm going on the tour, whatever happens I will be proud of myself.”
And with 2014 reigning champion Ben Haenow backing Lauren to follow in his footsteps, Rita Ora’s girl claimed it’s “so lovely” to have support from the public, concluding: “Obviously Ben has done this process, so to think that he believes in me, is amazing.”
