Firstly, what did her Granddad - who's also a singer - make of her time on the show?
Sam: "My Granddad is literally the cutest person - and he’s so proud of me. I’ve kind of done everything that he’s wanted to do - so I’ve done it for me and him, and it’s just been incredible - he’s so proud!"
Sam can't wait for The X Factor Live Tour 2017 - especially because she will get the chance to perform in her hometown at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena.
She said: "The tour is going to be a dream. I’ve been and watched the tour, so the fact I’m going to be on it is crazy! I think my favourite one is going to be in Newcastle, where I live - at the Metro Radio Arena. It’s gonna be amazing!"
Sam says she's going to start writing music: "The future for me? I’m going to go on and gig. I’m going to write some original songs and show everyone who I am as an artist!"
Sam then revealed why she Auditioned for X Factor 2016 (and if you want to follow in her footsteps for X Factor 2017, you can apply now!)
She said: "I Auditioned for The X Factor because I always wanted to do it. Music has always been what I wanted to do - it’s never been a phase; X Factor has given me a massive platform and it’s given me an incredible journey, and I’ve met some brilliant people - it’s been amazing!"
And finally, who does Sam think will win?
She concluded: "I really honestly think and hope Matt wins this year - because he’s incredible and consistent and his range is amazing, but he’s also a genuinely nice person!"
