This week's X Factor: Celebrity was a doozy. Our celebs were battling for a place in the Semi-Final and let me tell you, the competition was hotter than ever!
Pinch us! We're still dreaming. Can you believe Lizzo kicked off the show this week? She did her hair toss, she checked her nails… Baby, how were we feeling? You know it! Good as hell!
Max & Harvey
Twin superstars Max and Harvey were first up to the plate and boy oh boy, did they set the bar high! Taking on Panic! At The Disco's pop hit 'High Hopes', the boys gave an exuberant performance that even included backflips! It was flippin' good, to say the least.
Who needs the clubs of London when Kevin can bring them to you? Our favourite Gleek transformed the studio into a modern-day Studio 54 and performed Donna Summer's genre-defining 'I Feel Love'. NSYNC's JC Chasez was in attendance, and we can confirm he loved it (being Kevin's friend has nothing to do with it). Shout out to the angel waiting for Kevin on the stage, serving up some very intense eye contact.
After winning the sing-off against No Love Lost last week, we were hoping V5 would make a triumphant return. Rising up as the powerhouse five-piece we know and love, they belted out ‘Bang Bang’ by Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj and WOW did it slap. Can we just highlight Renata’s TWO incredible solos? If that performance doesn't embody girl power, we don't know what does.
Chickens playing the guitar and dancing gorillas? Yup, you guessed it! Vinnie Jones performed a medley of legendary punk rockers, The Clash. Long story short, he rocked our socks off! We’ll be here to watch Vinnie week in week out, playing the ska and punk songs he loves. We're hoping next week he merges the two and does a punky reggae party that would make Bob Marley proud.
We adore seeing Megan McKenna growing into the pop star she's always dreamed of being. This week was no exception, as she unveiled an acapella performance of her song 'When I'm Crying' which was captivating to say the least. Nicole told Megan she would like to see something more upbeat from her in the future. Will she take this advice on board?
Jenny surprised us all and took on a second Eurovision-winning song, and this time around we were treated to a rendition of Swedish singer Loreen’s floor filler 'Euphoria'. True to form, Jenny filled the room with her mighty pipes and completely made the track her own. Yes Queen Jenny, keep that reign going strong!
We've been told time and time again not to go chasing waterfalls, but after Try Star's performance this week with all that rain? Yeah, we're going waterfall hunting! The rugby trio took us on a tour of our deepest desires as they sang X Ambassadors 'Boom'. We're going to be completely honest. This set our pulses, your pulses, and definitely the Judges’ pulses into overdrive! And we haven't even mentioned the leather trousers.
The vote opened and then closed in what felt like a blink of an eye. The results came in, and we found Kevin and Vinnie going head to head in this week's sing-off. Vinnie went left field with an intimate rendition of Irish folk tune 'The Galway Song' and Kevin gave us an electrifying performance of Labrinth's 'Something's Got To Give'.
As always, it came down to the Judges to decide who was going to stay. Ever the gent, Vinnie was prepared to step down so Kevin could make it through to the Semi-Final. Simon however, had other ideas. Kevin's fate was sadly sealed, and he left The X Factor: Celebrity in yet another shock exit: #SadTimes.
We don't know about you, but we can't wait to see what happens at the Semi-Final this week!
