X Factor 2015: 7 things we definitely know about the new series
Ever since this year’s judging panel was confirmed, there’s been heaps of speculation regarding the new series.
Seeing as we're the official source for all things X Factor, we've rounded up some of the best rumours below! Find out what's real, what's fake and what's going on (for real)...
1. X Factor is back on...
29th August!
The X Factor is back on 29th August!
After MUCH speculation, it’s time to face the music again on Saturday as The X Factor makes its eagerly awaited comeback to ITV! We can hardly contain our excitement…
2. You decide which Judge gets what category.
You decide which Judge gets what category using these cool Twitter emojis.
We can confirm that thanks to the power of Twitter, YOU will pick which category the Judges mentor.
This year, they'll be no more dramatic phone calls from producers as the decision is officially in the hands of the general public… Now, how to decide who to pick?!
3. Judges’ Houses will be LIVE!
Unlike last year's champ Ben Haenow, contestants will now perform live at Judges' Houses!
Imagine if 2014 champ Ben Haenow had to do his Judges Houses audition live???
Well, it's actually happening! For the first time ever, fans will be able to watch Simon, Cheryl, Nick and Rita select their finalists... LIVE.
Cue the live tears, cue the live tantrums and most importantly, cue the live drama!
4. The Fifth Judge returns…
The Fifth Judge returns and we're not talking about Simon Cowell's dogs!
And no, we’re not talking about Simon's pet pooches Squiddly and Diddly!
For the second year in a row, free in-app voting gives viewers the chance to vote for their favourite contestants during the live show, so choose wisely X Factor fans.
5. Simon and Cheryl are BFFs again.
Simon and Cheryl and BFFs again.
Cheryl once called Simon her ‘frenemy’ but it seems this time around, the pair have buried the hatchet!
Cowell recently revealed that Chezza is “definitely happier” than last year, with the gorgeous Geordie also insisting they are closer than ever.
Hurrah, no more Kermit the Frog jokes this year then?!
6. Extra fun for Xtra Factor!
Melvin and Rochelle will be bringing more fun to The Xtra Factor.
With Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom taking the reigns, this year's Xtra Factor promises to be the most fun yet.
Melvin is set to take on Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in Meryl Vs Cheryl (see our exclusive image above!) while new Judge Nick Grimshaw will take part in Mission Grim Possible.
We see who out of the judges can recognise fellow newbie Rita Ora in Rita ... or....a? Will she be able to recognise herself? We can't wait to find out!
7. And finally… Louis Walsh is gone for good. Sob.
Louis Walsh is gone for good. Sob!
Despite Simon admitting he had the Irish music mogul on stand by for the new series, after 11 years, Louis will NOT be making a return.
Why we hear you cry?! Because our awesome new judges Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw have impressed SiCo so much, Walsh won’t be on this year's panel. We'll miss you (and your comments) Louis!
