Ghostbusters reboot cast pictured in costume for the first time
The supernatural inhabitants of New York have a new foe to contend with, after Ghostbusters reboot director Paul Feig tweeted out an official first look at the all-female cast in their new uniforms.
Bridesmaids director Paul Feig - charged with reinventing the iconic franchise - sparked speculation earlier this year when he announced the reboot would feature an all-women ensemble for the first time.
Feig has been tweeting out images of props from the new film all week, including the legendary Ecto-1 and, of course, the proton pack.
The rebooted equipment appears to be a nod to the 1984 original, which featured Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the eponymous heroes that saved New York City from destruction at the hands of Gozer.
The reboot had initially been due to star Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, under the direction of the classic version's director Ivan Reitman, but when Ramis died last year Reitmen backed out.
