First Blind Date couple to get wed say Cilla was their 'fairy godmother'
The first Blind Date couple to get married have said host Cilla Black was "like a fairy godmother" to them.
Alex and Sue Tatham first clapped eyes on each other when they appeared on the show in 1988.
Three years later Cilla attended their wedding which was filmed and has now been watched 18 million times.
Watch a clip from the ceremony below:
Alex told Good Morning Britain: "She's a bit of a fairy godmother to us and our children.
"She was a really special person to have at the wedding, and Bobby too, they both came."
ITV News correspondent Richard Pallot reports:
Sue added: "She was just like a normal guest. She didn't take anything away from the day, everything was as we wanted it.
"She played such a big part of our lives. You didn't expect her to go. You thought that she'd be there forever."
One of Cilla's most famous catchphrases to couples on the Blind Date sofa was "Does this mean I can buy a new hat?"
Watch her say it below:
As well as Alex and Sue's wedding, there were two other Blind Date couples who went on tie the knot and, true to her word, Cilla was a guest.
Lillian and David Fenson got hitched in Devon in 1994 and Anna and Paul Pratt got hitched in 1998.
