Giant rabbit the size of a dog in need of new home

A "mischievous" rabbit the size of a dog is looking for a new home - but be warned: he's still growing

Atlas, who is seven months old, is currently in the care of staff at the Scottish SPCA centre in Cardonald, Glasgow, after his previous owner could no longer look after him.

The continental giant rabbit is already "about the size of a westie", the charity says, but is still young and therefore is set to get even bigger.

Centre manager Anna O'Donnell said: "He is a very friendly rabbit who loves attention and getting cuddles. Atlas is also an inquisitive boy who makes everyone laugh with his mischievous character."

The SPCA warns that, due to his breed and size, prospective new home will need more than a standard rabbit hutch.

"Atlas needs an owner with the knowledge to properly care for him, so ideally someone who has kept a continental giant before," Ms O'Donnell added.
