Christmas in Antarctica: Shortest day celebrations underway

As the UK celebrates its longest day, it’s mid-winter in Antarctica, where you only get a couple of hours of twilight.
For the small community of British Antarctic Survey staff who live there, the occasion is celebrated like Christmas, with music and the exchanging of gifts.
