For the first time in its 20-year history, the National Winter Ales Festival has come to the Anglia region.

The historic St Andrews and Blackfriars Halls in Norwich are hosting the event.

Before opening to the public on Wednesday 22 February, judging is taking place to establish the overall British champion.

The Milton Brewery from Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire is among those shortlisted.

Richard Naisby's hoping his 7.5% Imperial Russian stout called Marcus Aurelius will prove a hit with judges.

The other regional breweries shortlisted are Adnams from Southwold, Green Jack from Lowestoft and the Cambridge Brew House.
