Delia's to reopen at Norwich City Football Club

Head Chef Nigel Ramsbottom and Brand manager Carol Robson talk about the reopening of Delia's Restaurant & Bar at Norwich City's Carrow Road stadium

Norwich City may not be welcoming football fans at the moment because of the restrictions under the Premier League's Project Restart.

But the doors will be open at one Carrow Road establishment from Friday 10 July.

That's when Delia's Restaurant and Bar, named after the club's joint majority shareholder & celebrity cook & broadcaster Delia Smith will welcome customers for the first time since the Coronavirus lockdown.

It's just over two weeks since Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that pubs, restaurants and hairdressers will be able to reopen from July 4, providing they adhere to COVID Secure guidelines.

Staff have had to be patient and diligent in getting the venue ready, once they were given the go-ahead.

Brand manager Carol Robson said they wanted to create an inviting, intimate environment without it being too clinical.

Customers have been encourages to book in advance using their website online menus

Head Chef Nigel Ramsbottom said they've restricted the size of their Set Price menu so they can provide the highest possible service with the reduced staff on duty.

"We've reduced the size of that menu to four dishes of starters, mains and deserts, so we can control it, keep everybody safe. It's all Delia's favourite dishes. We've created a menu which reflects what Delia is about during the summer months".
