Two teenagers arrested over suspected arson attacks on vehicles in Ipswich

Two teenagers have been arrested after several vehicles were set on fire in suspected arson attacks.
Police were called by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service at 10.50pm on Thursday, after reports that five vehicles had been set alight in the Gainsborough area of Ipswich.
All the vehicles were parked and unoccupied, though they were significantly damaged.
They included a minibus in the car park at Gainsborough Sports Centre, a car at the junction of Landseer Road and Clapgate Lane and a Transit van on Landseer Road.
Police arrested two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of causing arson with intent to endanger life at approximately 2.30am on Friday.
Some nearby buildings were also affected, with properties evacuated and roads closed, though these were later reopened.
No one was injured.
