A centre, which has looked after thousands of babies in its intensive care unit, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Scunthorpe General Hospital was established in 1992 when it moved to its current location.

To mark the anniversary, staff from the unit are throwing a party for all former patients and their families.

The party is being held at Glanford Park Football Club from 2pm today.

Tickets for the event, which are available from Newborn Intensive Care Unit, are priced £10 for 16 years and over, 7-15 years £7, 1-6 years £5 and under 1s are free. This includes all of the entertainment plus a cold buffet for adults and picnic boxes for youngsters.
