Public inquiry underway into controversial plans to drill for oil in North Lincs

Environmental campaigners have been urging a planning inspector to refuse controversial proposals to drill for oil and gas in North Lincolnshire.

Egdon Resources wants to develop an exploration site at Wressle near Scunthorpe after finding what it calls 'viable fossil fuel reserves'.
