Man due in court after fatal Wakefield dog attack which killed 55-year-old man

Police have charged a man over the killing of another man who died following a dog attack in Wakefield.
Lee Ellis has been charged with manslaughter after the attack on a disused rail line on Blacker Lane in Calder Grove on Saturday.
The victim, who police have not named, was found injured and taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he sadly later died.
Ellis, 55, of Calder Grove, has also been accused of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog causing injury resulting in death.
He is remanded into custody and is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Shortly after Saturday's incident, police seized a German Shepherd dog which was still being held in police kennels on Tuesday morning.
The victim's family are being supported by specialist officers.
