Limavady United midfielder Blain Morrison called the Baggies chief asking to take Gareth McAuley on loan.

Pulis blocked the move, saying the defender is a key member of the squad.

West Brom have confirmed Pulis took the call.

The head coach suggested to Morrison that he looked at Crystal Palace centre-back Paddy McCarthy, who he managed at Selhurst Park last season.

The pair ended the call with Pulis telling 'Lennon' to "keep in touch" if he needed anything.
