Birmingham education campaigner Malala Yousafzai graduates from university
Birmingham education campaigner Malala Yousafzai has graduated from university.
The 22-year-old activist who lives in Birmingham, expressed her "joy and gratitude" after finishing her degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.
She’d been campaigning for girls to be educated in her native Pakistan.
Today (June 19), in a tweet to her 1.7 million Twitter followers, she said she “doesn’t know what’s ahead” after graduating.
Dozens of people have tweeted their congratulations to Malala including the MP for Birmingham Edgbaston, Preet Kaur Gill.
