Passengers injured after tram and bus collision in Nottingham

Passengers have been injured after a collision between a tram and a bus in Nottingham.
Pictures from the scene show a derailed tram with a badly-damaged Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Orange 36 bus behind it at the Inham Road tram stop.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) reported the crash just after 9am on Thursday morning.
The tram, which was heading towards Hucknall, was damaged on its front and left side.
ITV News Central spoke to Beth Mayfield, whose mother was supposed to be on the tram, and Alan Ward, who lives in a flat next to the tram tracks.
Firefighters from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire were at the scene.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
"All passengers are safe. However, some are being treated on scene for minor injuries - thankfully none are life-altering."
Passengers are being warned of delays and disruptions to services, and are being asked to allow extra time for their journeys.
There's currently no service currently running between Toton Lane and Bramcote Lane, and Nottingham City Transport said there are severe delays on its Orange 36 service.In a a statement they said:
"We are unable to serve any stop on Inham Road or Field Lane. Buses arriving at Chilwell are normal route to Bramcote Lane, then continue Bramcote Lane, School Lane, left High Road to resume normal route from Cator Lane."
"A complex situation"
Sarah Turner, managing director at Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said:
“A collision took place between a bus and a tram this morning, 19 February, on Inham Road, Chilwell, which resulted in a tram derailment.
"Emergency services were quick to attend the scene, and a number of people have been treated for minor injuries. Our thoughts are with all those affected.
“Our team’s current focus is on retrieving the tram and taking it back to the depot for repairs. This is a complex situation, and it could take significant time to return the tram to the tracks and resolve it.
"There is currently no service between Toton Lane and Bramcote Lane, and we’d advise anyone planning to travel by tram today to check our social media channels for service updates.
“We understand the disruption and concern that collisions like this can cause, and we’d like to thank the public for their patience during this time, as well as the emergency services for their quick response".

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area"
Sergeant Nicola Thomas from Nottinghamshire Police said:
“While the incident has caused disruption this morning, there have been no reports of any serious injuries and the scene is now being made safe.“Inham Road is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day while investigations and recovery of the vehicles take place.“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes. I’d like to thank people affected for their understanding.”
East Midlands Ambulance Service said:
"We received a call at 9.03am on Thursday 19 February to Inham Road in Beeston.
"The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision. We sent two ambulances, three paramedics in solo response cars, and the Hazardous Area Response Team.
"We took one patient to hospital via ambulance, and all our resources have since left the scene.”
