We're just days away from the Olympics now and we're all hoping that Team GB can bring back some medals.
But let's not forget the thousands of others who are also taking part in the Games - they're not going for gold - they're going to be a part of history. Meet some of our region's 'Olympic Games Makers'.
19-year-old Jack Summerfield is a drummer from Guildford. He's been drumming for 5 years and he's now preparing for the biggest gig of his life: the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. He'll join 15,000 other performers on stage, including Sir Paul McCartney. With an estimated audience of 4 billion, the pressure is on.
Jack's parents, Ruth and Mike, are very proud parents and can't wait to try and spot Jack on-stage.
Jess Thorne from Kent applied to be a physiotherapist at the Games back in 2010. Now she's about to get her hands on the world's best basketball players, BMX riders and cyclists. She told us she's hoping Chris Hoy will get to experience what she calls her "magic hands".

Dayle Fleming is a Chef from Kent and has been appointed as one of the main chefs at the Olympics. He'll be in charge of a team of 25, who will be cooking Asian food for athletes, staff, security and police.
Mark Alchin from the Isle of Wight is a student who goes to university in Chichester. He'll be a Medal/Flower Bearer for the Modern Pentathlon and the Equestrian events. As you can see, he's been practicing on his friends...
