Some reports suggested statutory guidance on trans people's use of single-sex spaces could be delayed as much as a year after more assessments were requested.

Following Wednesday's ruling that in law, "woman" refers to biological sex, the equalities watchdog is rewriting its guidance for organisations.

The owner of Pontins is working with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to prevent discrimination.
