One of the UK's most successful Paralympians has said she was stopped from boarding a train by a passenger who said there was "no room for her".
Tanni Grey-Thompson, who uses a wheelchair, said on Twitter: "Merry Christmas to the person on the train who just stopped me getting on. Told member of staff ‘there’s no room for her’. Everyone else waiting on the platform got on."
She added in later Tweets that the passenger "wouldn't move", with the incident leaving her "lost for words".
Other social media users reacted with shock and dismay.
Baroness Grey-Thompson said she spoke out "because this happens to disabled people every day".
