Welsh netballer Suzy Drane wins 100th cap for Wales

Netballer Suzy Drane has become only the second player in Welsh netball history to reach 100 caps for her country.

She won the milestone cap after captaining Wales' 72-53 win over Grenada on Tuesday.

Drane, who made her debut in 2005 against Jamaica, is just 11 caps short of Helen Weston all time cap record of 111.

The 32-year-old who lectures full time at Cardiff Metropolitan University, has played in three World Cups and three Commonwealth Games.

Suzy won her first cap for Wales in 2005 in the same hall she gained her 100th

The Wales team have been playing in a six-test summer series with notable wins over Malawi and Trinidad & Tobago - who both have higher world rankings.

"The game has changed over the 15 years that I've been involved and it's at a place now where it is really starting to move forward and gain some pace", she told ITV Wales.

Wales missed out on qualification for the Netball World Cup which starts on 12 July.

Suzy was congratulated by her teammates at the end of the match in Cardiff
