A dog rescue charity is pleading for the owner of four border terrier puppies abandoned in Dorset to come forward.

They were found wrapped in a towel in a lane in Thorncombe. The dogs are said to be in a poor condition with low immune systems which are not strong enough to fight off infections. The handlers also say the pups are very timid.

The charity's also concerned about the puppies' mother as the dog's whereabouts are unknown.
