Gloucester stabbing: Murder probe after victim dies from his injuries
A man in his fifties has died following a stabbing in Gloucester that saw four people taken to hospital.
Police say emergency services were called to an address on Bedford Street at around 7.40am on Wednesday 28 May.
One of the individuals taken to hospital was the suspect, a man in his thirties, who has since been discharged and transferred to police custody on suspicion of murder.
A custody extension has now been granted by a superintendent to allow extra time to interview him.
A spokesperson for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity confirmed: “Our crew were tasked to an incident in Gloucester at 07:40 on 28.5.25. They responded by helicopter with a Critical Care Doctor and two Specialist Paramedics on board. They treated the patients on scene, before escorting two patients to hospital for further treatment.”
Gloucestershire Police say they believe the incident was contained within the address and they don't believe there is any ongoing threat to the wider public.

"We would like to reassure everyone that the incident was contained within the address and there is no ongoing threat to the wider public.
“We have dedicated resources carrying out enquiries into this incident and for reassurance there will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
“Members of our Neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols throughout Gloucester so if you have any concerns, please speak to them.”
