Prestigious award for ITV News West Country journalist and presenter Sabet Choudhury

ITV News West Country journalist and presenter Sabet Choudhury has been given a prestigious award recognising his outstanding contribution to broadcasting in the region.

The Royal Television Society (RTS) has named him the 2025 recipient of Sir Ambrose Fleming Memorial Award.

The award has been running for 65 years and previous winners include BAFTA winning film maker David Olusoga, Animal Magic presenter Johnny Morris and Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.

Seb has been reporting and presenting for ITV News West Country since October 2022 but has been a champion for the South West for a number of years. He studied journalism at the Camborne College of Mining in Cornwall before working at the Stroud News & Journal, BBC Radio Gloucester, 5 Live and BBC Points West.

“He's a huge champion for the region, for empowering both viewers and colleagues and passionate about driving inclusion and representation. We are delighted to recognise his outstanding contribution to broadcast journalism over his career.”
