Fourth caravan burnt down in Bristol in string of arson attacks

A fourth caravan has been burnt down in a string of arson attacks in Bristol.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the fires which have all taken place in the Goodneston Road area of Fishponds.
The road is one of several locations in the city with a van-dwelling community.
The incidents began in Novemeber, with the first fire on Thursday 13 November at around 5pm.
In January, there were two more fires - on Monday 5 January at 5:10pm and Monday 26/27 January at an unknown time.
The latest fire happened on Thursday night (5 February) at around 10pm.
Police say no offenders have been identified, despte CCTV enquires being carried out and some witnesses coming forward.
One person reported seeing two men arrive in the area in an older style brown estate at around the time of the November fire.
Inspector Richard Jones from Avon and Somerset Police said: “Detectives are investigating these incidents and believe there is a strong possibility that they may all be linked.
“Fortunately to date there have been no serious injuries, but clearly the consequences of starting a fire deliberately could be catastrophic in terms of safety.
“We are in close contact with the residents and the council around these incidents. Officers and PCSOs are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area for reassurance and to try to identify those responsible.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
