THE VOICE UK LIFELINE VOTE FOR THE SEMI-FINAL: VOTING INTERACTION INFORMATION
Voting method and cost:
Viewers in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands may vote for which contestant they wish to keep in the competition as specified in The Voice UK programme (the “Programme”) through an in-app vote. Users of Apple mobile devices with iOS for iPhones, iPod Touch, iPads or iPad minis and users of mobile devices with Android may download the latest version of the official The Voice app from the relevant app store (iTunes store or the Google Play store) (the “App”). Download of the app is free although data charges from the user’s network operator may apply. Users of Apple mobile devices will be required to register before being able to vote and should follow the in-app prompts to do so. App users should follow the in-app prompts to vote for their chosen contestant during the voting window. Each account registered will allow the use of up to five (5) votes per voting event. There is no charge when voting via the app although data charges from the user’s network operator may apply. The voting event will open and close as indicated in the Programme. A vote that has not been used by the end of a voting event will be lost and cannot be claimed for use in another voting event.
From time to time, the Promoter may permit certain reputable third parties to offer voting or polling services and may count eligible votes or polls received from such services during specified voting or polling times in calculating the vote or poll results. In the event of any conflict between the interaction terms and conditions and any third party’s terms and conditions in relation to the vote or poll, the interaction terms and conditions shall prevail.
If there are technical or other issues with the App votes, the Promoter reserves the right to discount the Appvotes and announce the result of the vote without including those affected votes.
The Promoter is unable to confirm the integrity of and is not responsible for any vote services promoted outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man or for any unofficial voting methods as these are not within their control. Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and viewers cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. The Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of any applicable terms and conditions.
If for any reason there is a discrepancy between the numbers advertised on air and those given on any other platforms, then the numbers on air will prevail and the vote shall proceed on that basis.
Please note it is not possible to vote via any method not stated in these terms and conditions.
Opening/closing times:
Voting opens on 21 March 2020 at the time specified in the Programme.
Voting closes at 11.45pm on 21 March 2020.
Voting restrictions:
Users of the App are limited to five (5) votes per voting event.
The Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any votes made above the permitted levels having regard to all the circumstances and information available at the relevant time. The Promoter and/or the Programme producers may in their sole discretion contact voters who have voted in excess of the permitted levels.
Voting results:
The contestant with the most votes will have a place in the semi-final of the Programme and the outcome of the vote will be announced in the semi-final of the Programme.
Contingencies:
If any of the contestant(s) leave or is removed from the Programme for any reason including without limitation medical reasons, then the producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion decide whether such contestant(s) will be removed from the vote or the vote may be cancelled and restarted without such contestant(s), having regard to all circumstances and information available to them at the relevant time.
If the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or for any other reasons beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the producers of the Programme, their agents or sub-contractors, then the Promoter and Programme producers may choose (at their sole discretion) that the vote will be cancelled and reopened at a later date; or that the Programme producers will determine the outcome.
In the event of a tie, a secondary vote will be conducted including only those tied contestants. The opening and closing times of such vote will be as communicated by the Promoter or the producers of the Programme in their sole discretion.
Any decision by the Promoter or the producers of the Programme will be final.
