Mildred becomes broody and starts to dream of motherhood - much to George's dismay. Will he put his foot in it again?

When Mildred finds out that George only has a small endowment from his uncle, she decides to do something about it.

George decides to trade in his old car for a broken-down caravan, which Mildred disapproves of - especially as her snobby sister Ethel is coming to stay.

George begins to resent the fact that Mildred treats the dog better than she does him. Should he be trusted to take Truffles for a walk in the park?

The Ropers discover that the local pub serves draught gin and tonic. Meanwhile, George accuses his next-door neighbour of attempted murder.

9. My Husband Next Door

Mildred becomes a TV widow when the Ropers' ancient set breaks down, but Mildred would prefer to spend their money on something other than a replacement.

10. Family Planning

George is less than thrilled at the prospect of his mother-in-law moving in, but Mildred is keen to discuss what should happen to her.
